The challenge of this Department is to build a Launchpad that is scaleable with respect to the different sized rockets that we will be experimenting with. This webpage will provide the various steps we took to accomplish this goal.
Fall 2004 - Design considerations and brainstorming
Spring 2005 - We have completed the design of our mobile Launchpad Facility and plan to complete construction during this semester. This Launchpad will be completely scaleable to handle small model rockets up to the full size rocket we plan to have as our final rocket. After completion of the Launchpad this Dept. will be dissolved and its members will join whichever other Dept. interests them.
